TEXAS DEATH ROW HUNGER STRIKE
Day 3-4 update: the morning of day 3 Warden rigsby walked around. More psychological warfare - to us as months go by without seeing rigsby. These men sit in cells without food, all commissary taken from them. Heats been turned off - its cold inside the row.
Day 4 Major stern walks around today asking men to sign a paper saying they will stop protesting on hunger strike. Nobody agreed! Then Major comes with paper to sign saying they are on an official hunger strike. Medical comes with blood pressure check machines, the portable scale. All Tx d/row men on strike are weighed, vitals checked.
Commissary slops are being turned in tonight - for store on Friday. None of these men will be allowed to buy food, even without being on restriction or having any disciplinary case. A clear violation of their rights, under TDCJ policy. No due process has been afforded to them. All food items taken from their cells continues to be held by the prison property room. More psychological warfare to try to break them.
Ponder a man sitting in a cold cell no food to eat as he feels the weight pressure of the system bearing down on him. If and when he feels weak or the need to eat he has nothing! Prison warden rigsby ordered the guards to take all food from them! This is insanity in action.
Its cruel and unusual punishment and its illegal to treat human beings in this manner. The row needs a law firm to represent it in a cruel and unusual punishment lawsuit to end this torture.
