HOMOPHOBIC DISCRIMINATION @CDCR:
PRIDE MONTH JUNE/2023,
An incredible group of LGBTQIA+ identifying residents at RJ Donovan Campus submitted a DVD Documentary about the origins of the LGBTQ+ History in Los Angeles California as a statewide community engagement event via Institution Television System (ITV).
Instead of playing the Documentary @SQTV on an (ITV) channel, The Public Information Officer (PIO) Lt. G. Berry at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center sent an email to the SQ Mental Health Department Staff suggesting the Documentary be played in group sessions to those willing to play the disc, regardless of the fact that for over 30 years the MHD had no LGBTQIA+ program.
The General Population LGBTQ+ Faith based program group titled NEW HOPE was also asked to "screen" the DVD in group session.
The PIO visited this writer in the lock up unit the Adjustment Center (AC), there for a series of Staff assaults in direct response to years of physical abuse, and the CDCR culture of homophobia @SQRC & CDCR, including the intentional deprivation of Queer affirming programming @SQTV which is accessible to ALL residents via (ITV),
Lt. G. Berry misled this writer to believe that the RJ Donovan DVD would air @SQTV/(ITV) as a step forward.
1. This PIO @SQTV has refused thousands of videos/queer affirming media content submitted by the Condemned LGBTQIA+ Population titled THE SOUND MIND STREAMER for airing @SQTV/(ITV).
2. No resident should be forced into the mental health program to receive queer affirmation programming.
3. No resident should be forced into religious programs that exist antithetical to queer nature by doctrine.
4. There is a MASSIVE Gay Closet, or as we now say, "Private Expression Community" who are not safe to attend LGBTQ+ Mental Health, or Faith based groups, as the Closet has historically been the safe space environment for queer expression Worldwide for centuries, and to attempt to force OUT anyone violates CDCR's safety and security policy.

California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation has policies that adhere to Senate Bill#132 The Transgender Respect and Agency Act, which recognizes being Transgender as Gender Dysphoria, a Mental Health disorder, and Medical illness as a matter of Law.
Dysphoria is defined as:
a state of feeling unwell, or unhappy, from the Greek-(dysphoros), hard to bear.
In amplified definitions, it is associated with depression, anxiety and being self disparaged.
Moreover, the fear of prison cultural unsafe environments for this demographic of the population
spearheaded the creation of the protectionism rehousing of residents that identified as Transgender, Non binary and Intersex posed a great observation as to how policy writer's included Non binary, and excluded Homosexuality, as this fine line issue became the very life line by force, for Homosexual/Gay residents to receive said protections by pronouncing as Non binary, and some even pronouncing as Transgender. This, by default creates a human rights violation for the intentional forced eradication of the presence for the freedom of Homosexual expression while the proponents of the Bill and CDCR maintain the use of the umbrella community acronym LGBTQIA+.
1. Homosexuality is not a mental health or medical illness
2. Department Programs are primarily operated by employees, residents and doctrines that exist antithetical to Homosexual Nature.
A documentary titled, CURED details the original attempt by the lead Psychiatrist in the not so distant past to determine Homosexuality as what is now termed, Gender Dysphoria, proceed with caution as images and content of the documentary are graphic.
The irony here is that the word Gay means happy, and euphoria, a feeling of well being, which is the complete polar opposite of the Transgender diagnosis.
The parallax view is therefore, Gay/Happy by choice or Transgender/Unhappy by illness and disorder? Both are a matter of discrimination.

In review of the studies relied on by the California legislative body to pass SB#132, I noticed several flaws in the gathering of evidence process, for example;
The findings state that Transgender inmates were more likely to be assaulted than their counterparts.
Which is not true, the truth is that more Transgender people report the abuses, and participated in survey's to express the violence from a trans perspective which is not the problem, just not the entire truth.
The problem here is that the fact finders themselves relied upon information not provided by higher percentiles Gay inmates willing to participate in the survey's, and moreover the "MASSIVE closet" of those UNSAFE to participate, and the findings became yet another indictment against the most abused and underserved demographic of prison populations and societies population because it is morally taxing for others to "FORCE OUT" a vulnerable and marginalized subculture, and the demeaning attitude of even Transgender inmates that openly display contempt for victims of oppression for not coming out, even when they experienced the exact same trauma.
It is more safer for someone who is viewed by professionals as having a mental disorder, than it is for those who are viewed as being having made a choice to commit sin, and go against the so-called nature of family, community, society, nature, and God, while a so-called corrective Disorder means, having no choice, and tolerably treatable through mental health services, and religious proselytizing by way of repentance of sin.
The acronym LGBTQIA+ is often rebranded as subcultural community, when the evidence shows it was created to expose discrimination of societal exclusion from Hetero normalcy for access to dignity, and humanity though the lens of EQUALITY.
I'm not transgender, non binary, intersex, or heterosexual,
I'm a Gay/Homosexual Man, by nature not choice,

A paradigm shift in how LGBTQIA+ life, education and culture is depicted through incarcerated institution Television Systems.
After over 200 years of zero to minimal programming, and after over 12 years of rigorous efforts by
The Sound Mind Company here at Condemned Row, in October 2023, the SQTV Media Center broadcasted a movie titled Spoiler Alert.
The movie, while an excellent display for progress and inclusiveness, it is however filled with every
common Eurocentric focused stereotype, that has dominated the queer narrative in America that
has been used by the leader's of homophobic ideations of hatred discrimination and violence, and moreover, continues the method of writer's
who are intentionally, chasers of empathy.
The Sound Mind Streamer Media program is different in a way that focuses more on affirmation
through education for the most underserved demographic of prison media programming.

Saw the movie a couple of times. Can't really see what set you off. Have you never watched Seinfeld(C) or any other "Oscars-so-White" show?

Spoiler Alert was a (LOVE) story about 2("Privileged") gay characters; whom experience little 2 none of the struggles common in the LGBTQIA Community. The story was "Cliché-ala-American" ... ... "Okay tell me your story [in a Users Friendly way - but don't make me feel ashamed! - Don't bore me w/ your social-justice issues!]
Only when the try to "sell" a Cliche as Ground-Breaking or some other overstated crap.
It's all good. Cliche's are why I write. I will have something written 2/4 the Community in the coming months soon. It is why I write 4 the Culture!
As Leaders, DIPLOMACY is always essential when addressing power. The first 2 thing Leaders in Power observe is diplomacy or the lack thereof. It makes the difference between being heard & ignored, between being assisted or resisted. Lead Pboi, lead.

Thanks for conveying exactly what should by default, culturally set us all off.
I'm aware that most queer GP can't risk losing their endorsement to this campus by being expressive on this issue, their silence is induced.
The closet, or, our "Private Expression" villagers have even more to risk in real time.
Our straight allies operate from a conditioned position of empathy and support, yet have not been educated as to what is considered culturally valuable to our ENTIRE community, and, perhaps even address some ethnographic deficiencies, generational cultural ignorance, and educate for the need of purging incompetency within incarcerated media programming.
The Sound Mind Streamer, which we will have a premier screening at the Banquet, will display how we are not in need of empathy, we however require equal access to autonomous programming that provides a safe space for engagement of LGBTQIA+ affirming media.
Spoiler alert,
LGBTQIA+ life is more than Eurocentric-male dominated, disease gloom & doom, and sexual deviance narratives, and it really upsets me when our own ignorance is expected and exploited as a settlements of "Queer filled quota's" as absolvent of responsibility for those intentionally attempting to silence over 150 years of program exclusionary practices.
Sound Mind Streamer media is our ideation on how to safely administer Queer focused, SELF-HELP rehabilitation, education, recreation, spiritual & wellness programming.

Billie Mizell has long taken credit for A.C.T., now known as ALIGHT Justice, as well as given credit to those who had NO part in fighting for the existence of the program at SQ. I know because I am the main person who did.
She now serves as as Advisory Council person for the "San Quentin Transformation Advisory Council", which is sad as she is someone who feels it is her right to take from those who are incarcerated so she can benefit.
I say all this to:

VOTE NO on Prop SB132
California State Senator Scott Wiener, a publically noted gay person, and his policy team wrote Senate Bill 132 and worked hard to get it approved. SB132 is amazing, in that it aims to improve housing options for incarcerated transwomen, whether they've had gender reassignment surgery or not.
In January 2020, San Quentin News published a newspaper article titled; SQ Transgender Day of Remembrance.
What appears on the surface to be a historical first program that recognizes the human value of transwomen, factually excluded the value of transmen, and moreover, the health, safety, and inhumane treatment of gay and bisexual inmates at San Quentin State Prison.
Yes, you just read that, just a few feet away from where this event was being held, Senator Scott Wiener said and has still done ZERO about inmates that identify to some degree as LGBTQIA+ being beaten, spit on, and doused with human feces and urine in Housing Units Donner Section, Badger Section, and Alpine Section, and mistreatment in East Block.
As you view in the photos in the news article, you will notice that Senator Wiener is taking a photo-op with LGBTQIA+ identifying inmates at San Quentin, what the readers do not know, is that, these inmates are dry, and not wet with sput, water feces, and urine because they are housed in units that CDCR have enforced for all inmates that sign an agreement with the Department to not forfeit said endorsement to SQSP by actively participating in gang or violent activities and behavior; these inmates lives are not in danger, especially not while in the company of a state senator.
Sen. Scott Wiener, his Policy Team, Amy Miller, Associate Director of CDCR, and her direct relationship to Billie Mizell- a vocational volunteer that heads Acting With Compassion and Truth Mainline Group, have systematically excluded, denied, and withheld resources within the Department to provide SQSP true First LGBTQIA+ Spirituality Group and Programming, because the founders are on Condemned Row, also partially housed in Donner Section, and with a volunteer base of, content donors, for The Sound Mind Streamer- which is the first LGBTQIA+ urban perspective in-cell televised broadcast that is accessible to the participation of all interested inmates, yet denied broadcasting.
Sen. Scott Wiener's bid to get his bill passed created a total systemic shutdown of all services provided by The Condemned LGBTQIA+ Spirituality Group spearheaded by the influence of Billie Mizell, who introduced herself to the Condemned Group as Chair of the Board at Death Penalty Focus Organization, yet, after most of the Condemned Group members have been on Death Row for over 20 years, have never heard of Billie Mizell untila Jewish rabbi invited her to engage the Condemned LGBTQIA+ Spirituality Group, as a guest.
Not only was this statement a lie, Billie Mizell has still not recanted her statement, she has not apologized to The Department, the Jewish rabbi, nor The Condemned Inmate founders of the group. For the entire series of meetings between the Condemned LGBTQIA+ Spirituality Group and guest Billie Mizell, Mizell was alerted to the ongoing violence against gay inmates and it was explained that the violence was the very reason and purpose for the creation of the group, and she vowed to help.
Sen. Scott Wiener has also not responded to the misconduct of his associates, The Sound Mind Streamer has still not been restored, nor have any of the resources promised by Billie Mizell for the operational support of the televised LGBTQIA+ SQTV channel.
Sen. Scott Wiener, Amy Miller, Assc. Director of CDCR, and Billie Mizell are so focused on a bill that protects transwomen, they failed, and neglected the most vulnerable and underserved demographic of the population in the state's prison system.
Billie Mizell, in her political ignorance, either didn't know or should've known that no volunteer has the authority to turn a spirituality group that is facilitated by Religious Department personnel, into a vocational exploratory group, as that transition alone violated LGBTQIA+ incarcerated, to an equal opportunity, to participate in, religious and spiritual programming under safe conditions within the institution.
The irony here is that a recommendation for televised content for inmate populations during the COVID-19 virus by AMEND @ Berkely University, was met by The SQTV Media Center with implicit bias toward LGBTQIA+ inmate population, spiritually, mentally, and recreationally.
As Founder of The Condmned LGTBQIA+ Spirituality Group at San Quentin State Prison, I require, specifically; the Warden take into serious account that the LGTBQIA+ were also infected by COVID-19 virus, and was totally excluded from televised programming on SQSPTV network, including during the month of June, National Gay Pride Month.
Members of The Condemned LGBTQIA+ Spirituality Group was also infected by COVID-19 virus, including Johnny Avila, one of the inmates that presented The Sound Mind Streamer TV Program Billie Mizell and Admins Public Informations Officer- Lt. Sam Robinson.
Johnny Avila died from complications of COVID-19 virus, as we trace the rapid spread of infections to the neglect of, and deprivation of, and the denial of services and televised programming of The Sound Mind Streamer by Billie Mizell, Amy Miller, and Sen. Scott Wiener.
