Forgiveness is The Willingness To Be Happy
I won't ask God to help me forgive because forgiveness occurs when I want it to. It is my desire to release another person from my decisions about them. I forgive the instant I want to, the instant I grow weary of a miserable state of mind. It's my responsibility to change my mind, not God's. Asking God to help me with this is just the decision to procrastinate a while longer and remain a victim of what I alone am doing to myself. God won't force me to desire what I don't wholly desire.
