'Forgive Me'

Before I could even speak, you taught me right from wrong. Through my stubbornness, I intentionally disobeyed you, but I cannot explain why I intentionally disobeyed you. I love you and respect you, but sometimes my greed overwhelms my desire to obey your teachings. I never chose to disregard your words of wisdom, your righteousness, your ethics and morals. I have always secured them in my heart.

Until this day I have your teachings deep within my heart, I just allowed the corruption of this world to put a blind eye over your teachings that made me unable to perceive them, therefore unable to apply those teachings. I can have all the knowledge of your righteous teachings, but if I do not apply them, I will never excel in life.

Mom, I now realize I was a fortunate child to have a Mother who had wise sayings. Because Mom, understand, that I am no prince. Sometimes in this life, you have obstacles you must face. Bu the knowledge I have learned from you, I could have conquered those obstacles and recommenced my function in this life.

But, as I states previously, I did not apply this knowledge. Therefore, it was as if in vain to have a Mothers sayings. As my Mother, you knew your words were not in vain. You have always had hope for me that one-day the greed, hate, envy and stubbornness that I allowed to be an obstacle would be surpassed by your words of life.

Mom, I will no longer be deprived of my calling in this life. I now exploit your teachings to my benefit, as well as for others. I realize when you help others, you help yourself. By applying your teachings, I now can triumph over all obstacles that try to hinder my purpose in being created in a corrupted world.

Mom, thank you or being patient, for caring, for loving and never giving up on me. At the same time, I am sorry for not being patient, not caring, not loving and for giving up on applying your words of wisdom.

It is never too late to start anew, which I have been touched to do, to not only know, but to apply. mom, you always knew what was best for me.

I Love You!!

Note: This was something I made up for my mother in 2001 for Mother's Day. It was more or less telling her that I was sorry for letting her down after all the right she had taught me,.
