I am tired of political hope
Polishing old brass
Our people live out on the streets
Can I think as a saint
When I'm exposed to lies?
God says I can
If I focus from within
I let loose God's cheerful understanding
For those that are less loved
Perhaps I can further God's love
If I criss-cross
His knowledge with care.
