Thw writer once again can't sleep tonight, I'm trying to be quiet by writing in the dark. My room mate has to get up at 4.00am to go to work. I don't have to be at work toda until 9.30 - 10.ooam. My job in food service has some what changed. Completed the three year Apprentice Program in "C Arts". Received my Diploma just before the state left and turned it over to this security guard company. MTC One reason why I entered the Apprentice Program because it is operated by the Council of Apprenticeships Program a state of Ohio Council of jobs and Family Services. Has nothing to do with the Department or Corrections. All the people work for the council. It is one of the best programs inside the prison system. There are about five other Apprenticeship Programs to get into. I chose "CULINARY ARTS, due to the fact I plan on operating a bed and breakfast in up state New York. Things here at best are a nightmare: The Correction Inspection Committee was here. This committee which will be referred to as (CIIC). It was formd by the state Legislature body to be the watch dog, if you will on the "human treatment of prisoners in the state of Ohio. Another waste of tax payer is dollors. This committee calls in advance to let them know they are coming. (Something that they don't have to do). Gives them time to clean up the living areas, Food service and Medical Department. On these days, Medical IJ fully staff food service area as well as the living quarters are clean. The institution staff had pick the inmates to talk to them. I call them "Tap Dancers" All is well, "and they leave as they come with a smile on their faces. Good job they say keep up the good work. Keep up the good work you spin masters, business as usual. Let's not mention that this prison has the "worst" gang problem in the state prison system of 32 prisons; Let's not mention it has the worst record in inmate's assualts and fights. This prion beieng an medium and minimum prison. Let's not mention that the prison staff feels so complacent that they too us ethe "n" word like it's a nick name. Let's not mention that this prison has the worst cases of "Scabes and MRSA out breaks, sometimes every other month and let's not mention the Medical Department: A non caring department who are going to kill somebody. Everyday their procedure to give out insulin changes takes weeks to obtain life substains drugs such as medication for heart problems, high blood pressure, etc, etc
