Hello Freeworld,
First off, I would like to thank BtB for creating a platform for me to be able to have a Blog. Not much going on here at the Neal unit in Amarillo, Texas. I could tell you about all the negative things going on here in prison, but this is societies way we deal with its citizens that break the establishments rules or laws. I don't believe it was intended to be fun. After all, you are being held captive against your will. You are forced to submit to authority. It sux! It's interesting to me to see how some of my fellow inmates do their time. I see a group of guys in here that play "Dungeons and Dragons" role playing game. They seem to escape reality for awhile. It's cool they can do that. I don't think I could do it. I don't see any guys my age doing it here. Then you have the people like me that read books. That's how I do my time. I love a good Western novel. I find them entertaining and keep my mind off the fact that I'm being punished. I am always looking for other dudes like me, so I can trade books that I have read, for some I haven't. I'm very lucky we have a good library here. I have read most of the westerns they have. Now I am researching the library's resources about plants and gardening. As I stated in my 1st blog I intend to have a garden and hens to lay eggs. I hope to get my grandkids Jacob and Krista to be a part of my plan to be self sufficient. I miss them very much! Being a grandpa is the most awesome experience in my life. Being away from them has been the hardest part of my prison experience. I'm very blessed to have friends and family that love me, and care about me, as much as I do them. Makes life worth living! Their have been some very special people in my life that have helped me get through this hard time in life. I will give a shout out to, Cindy and Jimmy from Sherman. These good folks have been very good to me, I love them very much. Same with Jamie and her 3 Z's, Ed and Girl-bear, Rikki and my grandkids, Crystal, Kody and their 2 sons, All the Belcher family and friends in the North Texas area. David and Eric, my sons. If you go to my blog and read this, please leave comments at the site. BtB will send me a print out of them.
Keep on "Rockin' in the Free world" and "God Bless America"!
Respectfully submitted,
