Friends and Family,
Check this out! I got a letter from "Between the Bars," and they sent me 4 comments on my blog. Needless to say I am very happy and grateful. I've been doing alot of thinking about how to reply to these comments. Seems like the longer I'm locked up the harder it becomes to express my thoughts and feelings on paper. Sometimes, I feel like the world is passing me by. I feel antiquated. That means obsolete or old fashioned. I have never had a computer or even used one before. When I was a kid in the 50's and 60's the only people that had computers were the Federal Government and the Banking industry and they were as big as a small house. My first car was a 58 Chevy Belair with AM radio and a 8-track tape player, I put in it in 1971. I loved that car. I was over 30 when I got my first microwave oven. I thought that was the coolest thing since sliced bread. Still do! I think as some of us get older we tend to get stuck in our ways. This old dog is willing to learn some new tricks. I have decided to cross that bridge into the 21st century when I get released from prison. First thing I plan to get is one of those touch-screen phones. Then a laptop, I-Pad or tablet. I got a highly intelligent Granddaughter that can show me how to use this technology. One of the best parts of getting old is, I am a Grandfather. So far, it's the most rewarding experience I have had in my life. Another thing I think about is, if my 10 year old "Girl" will remember me? Saving her from Death Row at the dog pound is one of the best things I have done in my life. She has been a very loyal and loving friend to me. I don't have very many friends in my life, but, the friends I do have are the best, and I love each and every one of you. Even though I am locked up in prison, I have alot to be grateful for. I am blessed in many ways. I was so angry at myself when I got in trouble, because I had to sell off my musical instruments to pay lawyers and bondsman. My drum kit and several of my guitars and amps were very valuable to me. Selling them was like pulling teeth. I have learned life and love are truly priceless. I can always get me another Fender guitar. I feel very blessed to have true love in my life. I am looking forward to seeing you all in the near future. 60 days, give or take. Please reply to this blog.
Respectfully submitted,
Alvin Roger Brown
