I would like to wish every mother out there a very blessed, enjoyable Happy Mother's Day. Although every day should be Mother's Day for all the unconditional love, comfort and support you give to your child(ren) on a daily basis. There is no greater love than that between a mother and her babies.

For me some holidays are very painful and bittersweet. It will be sixteen years since my mama passed away and whoever said that "Time heals a broken heart" lied. And they lied in a big way because I am here to tell you, you never fully recover, and your heart never feels whole again.

Over the years, I have learned to become very malleable to her not being here. Nevertheless, sometimes it seems so very surreal to me because I still expect to see her, hear her, and feel her arms around me.

Family is extremely important and, when I see the news and hear about fratricides, matricides, or any type of homicides, especially those between family, it saddens me. Family is all you have. I have never had the pleasure of having children, but I have had the pleasure of having an outstanding parent. So I know what love feels like; I know how it looks and taste; and I have also had the pleasure of raising several of my younger cousins. It is so critical that, in this day and age, you embrace and hold your loved ones even closer to you.

To see a mother with her children is the most precious thing in the world, and I would like to say to all the children who has kind, caring, loving, and compassionate parents: love them. Love them. Tell them and show them every day how very much you appreciate them.

Celebrate your mother on Mother's Day. Let her know that she is special and very important to you. Were it not for her love, guidance, support, and nurturing, you would not be here. I would give anything to be able to tell my mama one more time just how very much she meant to me. So do not waste a moment letting your mother know how much she means to you.

To all the mothers out there, thank you. Thank you for having the maternal instincts within your core. I thank the Lord that you raised us and we very much appreciate all the love that you gave to us. Mothers are our greatest of champions, and they should be honored every day.

Also don't wait until Mother's Day to spoil, pamper, and cater to your mother. Flowers, cards, candy are sold all-year round. Phone class, I love you's cost nothing. A dinner doesn't have to be expensive. You can even cook it yourself. Burnt or excellent, I bet she will love every bite. When made from love, how can it not taste good? Your love just has to be undying, unyielding, and unconditional. That is priceless.

Sincerely,
Teze
Z
