Phone Justice
Due to the high prices of phone calls (my family must pay $5.15 per 15 minutes call) I can only talk to my family once a month. Between calls I worry about my family. It is hard not communicating with my family as much as I'd like, not being able to hear their voices and know they are safe. I wish I could call more often but my family has a very tight budget and can't always accept my calls.
I love hearing my family's voices. It comforts me knowing they're safe and still care.

I am writing to let you know about Prison Action News, a biannual journal of prisoners' stories of resistance to incarceration. Written by prisoners and edited and distributed by outside volunteers, PAN has about 1,600 incarcerated subscribers across the US.
