Adopt This Convict—Bobby [redacted]
His name's Bobby [redacted]# and he's a 23 year old with three years left on his sentence (for auto theft and fleeing police and fraud). Irish + German ancestry.
Like too many young convicts, he came from an, at best, neglectful family. Beatings were regular, love rare. This damaged his self-esteem. It's hard to love yourself when your family doesn't love you first.
I try to mentor Bobby, but I'm a f' up myself, need my own moral support.
What I'm suggesting is something like a lonely but stable person simply stay in touch with Bobby and be a positive influence in his life. That's all. No money.
Thanks + publish this anywhere
Nate

I'm currently writing a paper for one of my university courses in Australia & have reproduced your ad in my paper (well you did say I could publish it ANYWHERE...) I've used this to show the depth of character in the human race & specifically of those in our prisons all around the world. Thank you for being a good mate & Thank you for helping me to enhance my work.
In return, I will send a post card to you for Bobby (I can't send it directly to him because his details have been removed... so I'll send it to you).
