"My Eyes Are The Window To My Soul... My Destiny Is..."

Hi, I just thought I would send this quick blog to give a shout-out and to share a little bit about what has been going on. Our troops have finally accomplished their mission in their hunt for Osama Bin Laden. Props to the U.S. of A!

Since 9/11, all I have ever seen and heard of was the pain and sorrow that everyone has been suffering. It has been an ongoing process for those whom have lost loved ones during this time, and ten years later, we're still at war with Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Isn't that something. When can we bring our troops home to their loved ones? When can we worry about our citizens of this beautiful nation? Is there ever going to be a time where we, as U.S. citizens, can be at peace and allow those countries who wish to go to war with their neighbors and/or for whatever reason(s), let them handle their own issues?

Today, we are at war in Afghanistan and Iraq. We have lost so many of our soldiers behind this one individual (Osama Bin Laden) and now we have children that are being raised without their mother and/or father in their lives. Just to see these kids' faces on television commercials is so sad. To hear some of their testimonies, now that they're older (since 9/11), is heartbreaking. Is this fair to them? DO they deserve this? And what can we do as a whole to help these kids through their pain and loss? Think about it: what would you want if it were you?

Furthermore, not only do we experience the sadness around the world, but we become part of history as well. Look at the Royal Wedding. Boy, was that ever a blessing for Prince William and Princess Catherine to share that moment of a lifetime! Then the ratings were quite high, as it was highlighted over nationwide television. On this note, I will close as I await your reply.

Gratefully,
Librado Clemena, Jr.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers, grandmothers, and mothers-to-be.
