What else should I call this place? I'm in cell 102 of Alpha Unit (the most restrictive unit of this "former" supermax), and still have a headache from gagging half to death from the aerosol CN (& maybe CS too) sprayed into my neighbour's cell (101 - "Not room 101!" - Read Orwell if confused) after he pissed out the food slot on his door and threatened to kill himself if not given a ham & cheese sandwhich.
Yet that scene's not as crazy as it seems. Staff denied him his lunch tray, which had a ham & cheese sandwhich, because he'd been pissing out his trap/slot. That guy really wanted that sandwhich! He took two bursts of that gas and was fairly unphazed while I was freaking gagging up my lungs!
He's typical of what guys here used to be like. And there's a truckload of loonies on my unit (it has 100 cells total) doing everything from running full speed, head first into the wall (N.K.* cell A - 224), pooping in their shoes, peeing on the floor & out their door, rubbing faeces on every surface in their cell (J.F.* in A-301 & several others on range 4), and at least a dozen panoiacs, several flaming homos, a handful of psychos trying to hurt staff at any opportunity,a freaking bushload of Blacks who hate Whites (normally they keep it on the down-low when I'm around.
The unit Sgt. was literally pleading with my cellie to come out before he, the Sgt., had a nervous breakdown.
The psychological observation cells (6 of them on range 4) are all full of shit-smearing loonies. The first one or two cells on each of the unit's other three ranges have been converted into obs, cells or cells for the über-aggressive (yes, I was accused of kicking a sadistic Sgt. in his shin, then threatening other staff - doing too much time to let anyone walk on my big feet!). And then about 6 guys are on hunger strikes, of a sort.
It was stabler in a state mental hospital I once was in. Why? Because staff treated those loonies decently, wern't crawling all up inside the butts looking for something to pick at. Staff passed pills, tried to help the nuts (barely) or let them alone in their crazy little world. It's so crazy here because hypocritical sadists make guys crazy.
