"WASTED WATER"

Hundreds of thousands of gallons of water are wasted daily in lockdown units such as P Dorm Death Row Housing. Inmates will sit here and constantly flush their toilets not 2 or 3 times but 2 or3 dozen times within an hour. Someof them doing this because their mentally ill. Others doing it using their toilets as a washingmachine. Dookie Washers, is what Icall them. Their too lazy to fill the sink up and wash clothes there. So with this, hundreds of thousands of gallons of fresh water, a day, is being flushed down the toilet.

Is there a solution?! Yes, cut off valves. In the Dural County Jail, the toilets are fixed with cut off valves, and set on a timer, where the toilets can only be flushed a cerain number of times per hour. If the toilet needs to be flushed anymore than that, the officer can go back gthere, and reset it. Someone was smart enough to design that, to ensure inmates were not wasting water. However the FDOC is not smart enough to use this system and stop all of this waste.

Hopefully someone will fread this and bring it to the attention of the Governor or Florida Legislators and bring about some change.

Sincerely
