Today is Friday

I sure dislike Friday's. I use to love them it was always party time. Now that Im not on that pg any longer Friday's are just another day. Well its November now this year sure went by fast. Time fly's by fast when your in prison. I think its because there just isnt much to do. Your day's are alway's the same in here. It may seem to you that its big in here and there are things to do but it isn't like that at all. Inmates are very limited to whare we can go. Our movement is very little and the area's were allowed to go isnt big at all. If the prison staff had it there way we would be in our cells 24-7. Basically so they can sit around and bullshit with eachother. When the program is up and running the staff have to watch us. Staff love it when were on lockdowns. You wouldn't believe how the staff sit around and do no work. They make alot of money working here and don't do any work. Have you heard the term Fleecing of America well thats CDCR for ya - today a L.T-Lieutenant Retired. I dont know if everyone is aware that CA has a major prison overcrowding problem well its a money issue and many guards - inmates will retire - inmates will get paroled to save $. CA is broke, the economy is bad and its hurting everyone. It cost alot of money to run these prisons.

So to save $ prisons are releasing some inmates and lots of staff like LT are retiring so they get all the benefits. Staff is getting pay decreases so thats why alot of them will be retiring this month. This month there will be alot of changes in prison. "The People-Citizens" will vote this month and prisons will be a big part of it. First of all the 3 Strikes Law is on the ballot and the death penalty. CA will save billions if they vote the death penalty out and lots of inmates who got life sentences under the 3 Strikes Law will get out when the people vote yes to change the strike law. Please go vote its very important. When ever there is a vote that will help inmats please go vote. All inmates arent bad people we just make stupid mistakes. Most of the time we have drug problems and that gets us locked up. Since Im talking about law's, there is a law that will help me out. Its called Doe V. Harris it can cut my sentence in half. If things happen with this Doe case there is a very very good chance that I will get my sentenced changed. Lets just say there is a good chance I could go [strikethrough "ut"] out to court for resentencing. I wont discuss it much more I dont want to jinx myself but this Doe V. Harris case could take 34 years off of my sentence. I guess Im kind of superstitious in a way and thats why I wont talk about Doe V. Harris. When you have been down as long as I have you dont think of parole.

Im going to discuss this situation that I may be going through here in Jan of 2013. I will most likely be transfered out of CMC to a prison that I just dont want to be at. If Im lucky Ill get transfered to either Soledad or San Quenton. The cells in Quenton are the smallest cells in the hole state. Plus they a cells that are bars not a solid cell door. When you live in a cell with bars its very very loud and cold + it gets dirty alot faster. No privacy. + its a 2 man cell so that really sucks. If I go to Soledad the cell doors are solid its at least a little quiet, some privacy. Transfering is a life change 4 me. Its a real mess to move from 1 prison to another. Im going to ask to stay here but they wont let me. Change is good sometimes but when your in the joint and have a good program a good cellie you want to keep it that way. Im hoping that me and my cellie here end up at the same prison so we can be cell mates again. We get along good we both have alot of time to do so lets pray that it happens for us. Im going to end this letter with 3 pages and do some exersizes before it gets to late in the day. I will write more Sat or Sun and get this post mailed out. If I get time this weekend Ill write a few pages on Pelican Bay Day's. Respectfully Donnie.

Today is Monday and its hot as hell in my cell. I have a small fan but it don't work all that well. I forgot to tell everyone that I got a write up. Its called a 115. Anyway's the guards took 121 day's from me put me on C-Status which means I have to be in my cell at 1 everyday. C-Status is for 30 day's only. Im off C-Status on 11-22-12. Also I was given other punishments. Im not allowed a package from my family tell I get the C-Status done. No phone calls. Took my visits for 180 day's. The first 90 no visits the last is behind glass visits only. Plus I got 8 points on my classification score. If I get 1 more write up Ill have a total of -16 points and then Ill get to stay at CMC. They wont transfer me in January if I get 1 more 115. Is that working the system Yes. They Governor of CA, Jerry Brown changed the inmate score-point system. Here is how it basically work. If you have 60 points or more that is Level 4. Level 4 prisons are maximum security. From 36 to 60 is Level 3 its minimum security. 35 to 24 is Level 2 which is cool time. 23 to 0 is Level 1 which is the lowest level - non violent - non serious - non sexual inmates.

Right now I have Level 2 points so Ill get put up for transfer in Jan-2013. I dont want to transfer. I like this prison its the mellowest joint in CA. So yes I have a decision to make. I have tell Jan 1st to get 1 more write up if not Ill be put on a bus. Here is the issue I have to figure out. If I get 2 write ups in a 6 month period the guards will take my appliances - TV - radio - fan etc and put me in a cell by myself with no power. Ill only be allowed out of my cell from 7:15 AM tell 1 then I have to get back to my cell locked in. I will not be allowed any phones no packages they will fire me from my job. It will screw my program up very badly. Is the write up worth it? I got tell Jan 1 to figure it out. What would you do? Get all my priveledges taken away. Lose my cell mate no TV / no phone. No job. But I get to stay in CMC for 1 more years. This is the best prison in CA. Today its like 95 degrees hot. My neighbors are black youngster like in their 20s. They scream all that ebonics crap 24-7. They dont know how to do time at all. They have no respect for anyone else.

If we were in a Level 4 prison they would never make noise like this. The disrespect is unbelievable. The worst part of prison is the kids they put in here with the convict. Kids wont listen they think they know it all. I guess Ill just blast my radio with music that they hate and Ill play it non stop to drown out their ebonics crap. Its not a language. Its a lazy way for that race to tack. Listen to it some time you will see what Im talking about. Between the hot weather and the big mouth younsters around here Im getting mad. Let me change the subject ok. Who cares about these dumb ass youngsters. Over the years of doing time Ive had to learn how to tune out sound that I dont want to hear. Picture this is your mind the cells are all next to eachother and you and your cellie are quiet-respective but on both sides of you you got kids screaming at the top of their lungs. Plus banging on the desk some type of wrap music. Here is the kicker if I dont tell them to stop it they will keep it up. So yea prison sucks and the people in it do too. Im going to go for now as you can see Im in a angry mood. Not my fault these kids are driving me crazy disrespectful brats.
