Birthdays = Death
I don't want to die, but I celebrate my birthdays with greedy glee. You see, it's one year closer to my release from prison and yet with every birthday that goes by, I am becoming more than just a casual interest to death. I'm not trying to be morbid, just being honest with you and myself. My father passed me some interesting traits. Prone to addiction and the faulty tic toc of a heart that's likely to explode when I'm still young. My aunt died on her 40th birthday and my grandfather died at the age of 53, both died of defective hearts. Knowing my death comes closer with each birthday, I will still celebrate them with greedy glee because it's one year closer to my release.
