A BRAND NEW WORLD

I have been incarcerated for a very long time. When I was last a free man. There was no such thing as BLOGGIN'. Hell! The World Wide Web was not around. There was an internet, but it was reserved for the very few.

Don't get me wrong. I know about the internet and its many intricate aspects. I know about BLOGGIN', what I don't know is THE "FEEL" of BLOGGIN'. So, I asked a friend of mine, who is familiar with the virtual world. I asked her, how I should approach my blog readers? What kind of content should I put out? She gave me many different avenues to take. However, she suggested one.

She said, I should talk about whatever I want to talk about. I should just share what is on my mind and heart. Just do 2 important things:

1: Always be honest. Be open and open-minded.
2: Speak my mind as only I can. Be myself and keep it real. She said people like uniqueness and that, I have that.

Taking her advice. I have many things I could talk about. For the moment, I just want to meet people I normally would not have met. Looking to share ideas and philosophies. I do not care from what part of the planet you reside. I do not care about age, race, sex, etc... I only care about learning new things and enlightening others. With that said...

Today I would like to share the following: The new issue of Rolling Stone Magazine (Dec. 20, 2012 - Jan. 3, 2013) came out with a list of their 50 greatest Hip-Hop Songs of ALL TIME. Now, anytime you compare any kind of art. One can always argue, because art is so subjective. I do not wish to argue the list either. I agree with ALL the songs that made the list. I even agree with the number 1 song: "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. I bring this up only cuz, one can add to the list and if I could make one change I would.

RAKIM made the list twice with ERIK B. #10 with "PAID IN FULL" AND #23 with "YOU KNOW YOU GOT SOUL". I am just enclosing the words of what I believe to be one of the greatest lyrical songs of all time... PERIOD! It is filled with genius & simplicity. Let me know what you think?

PEACE *7

Michael
