Title: Meet Prison Dad

Hi, I'm Prison Dad. I plan on touching a lot of topics about life, prison, family, friends, but right now I just wanted to introduce myself and get this up & running. I'm pretty excited to do this and hope I don't disappoint. Today is my older brother & sister's 39th birthday, they're twins, Dawn and Jerry. Happy 39th birthday. I love you's both. Dawn is the mother of my nephews, Ronnie, Jordan, and Richard, 3 wonderful kids that I love. I sit in my 6x8 foot cell writing this while listening to my favorite satellite radio station, Octane. It's about 80 degrees in my cell on any given day but there's not much you can do about it. I thank God (& my mom who paid for them) every day for my 2 little fans! Without them, it would be brutal. No word from my 15 year old daughter, Krista, this year but I still write her every week. I was hoping her foster mother would let me have a cell phone sent to her so I could call Krista on it but so far, no response. My brother JJ would have done that for me, we are surprisingly close. He amazes me every week. And he impresses me so much more now that he has a wonderful girlfriend who I barely know but I love you, Rachel, for saving my baby brother and for giving us little Lucy. They had a beautiful baby girl born on March 19, 2012, Lucciana Grace Pezzeca. Here's a photo of this beautiful little angel. Welcome to our family, sweetie. My mom finally beat her cancer and she is getting her hip replacement surgery on March 18. They'll have to have Lucy's 1st birthday party early so Mom can be there. Valentine's Day is coming up, so for all of you's who are reading this, do something nice for that special person in your life. It doesn't take money, make it come from the heart. Well, that's all for now. If anyone wants to talk, feel free to write me a letter at my address. If you want to post a comment or question, I welcome it all. Pass me around to your friends and family and tell them all about the newest blog site, Prison Dad. Ciao.

Hello Robert . I have read some of your blog posts and they are very interesting. I like seeing these different perspective you have on life. My name is Alyssa and I am asking a few people on the betweenthebars.org some questions for my own research and was wondering if you would answer them if you felt like it. What are ways that some men deal with missing women in prison? Do you think men change not being around women? If so in what ways? How do you think this affects them when they are released? Do you think men become more reserved or dont know how to deal with a womens "touch" when released? ;) I just want to hear your input on this out of curiosity. Speak your mind. I would love to maybe see a blog post about this too. Thank you. Hope to hear back :)

Hi Robert! Thank you so much for your response it was so thorough. I see someone commented above me with a negative comment but you did nothing wrong. You answered all the questions that I asked. I really loved your responses. Just to let you know I asked these questions for a psychology class that I am taking in college. I am doing research on human interactions and how a lack of intimate contact can change a persons personality and outlook on life. I am specifically looking at correction systems. I asked men and women about how they deal with the lack of contact with each other and I have found similar results in some instances and very different results in others. It seems that masturbation is a similar thing that men and women both use as a coping mechanism to deal with the lack of contact in prison. ( Dont blame anyone for that. lol. Got to have some kind of fun in prison I bet. I know I would ;) ) Also most men responded with saying they have a stronger appreciation of women than before they were in prison. Women seem to just miss the interaction in general with men. Robert I appreciate you responding and I really do enjoy all of your blog posts. I will keep reading and feel free to comment back on this and maybe we can keep this conversation going or whatever you would like to talk about. I am doing research and my paper wont be due until the end of the semester so I could alway use more inspiration on what to look up and dive deeper into this topic. I appreciate that you respect BTB and didnt want to be blunt. (Even though I wish I could read more steemy writing other than bland research papers ;) lol.) I can also be very blunt so I appreciate that quality in anyone else who has it. I dont care what I say or how I say it. haha. On that note, Im sorry you have been in prison for how long you have been without intimate contact. That should really be a crime in itself. So many studies show how bad that is for the human body and mind. I wish I could help :). I guess I have a few more questions to ask if you dont mind answering if not, no big deal. Does your state offer conjugal visits? if so do you see any difference in men who get them? if not do you think it would help or not? Do you have access to regular pornography magazines? Do prisons discourage masturbation or allow it openly? Do you think some men abstain from masturbation and show other forms of emotions to overcome these frustrations (like anger, depression)? Do men who have a significant others on the outside act any differently than men who dont have a significant other on the outside from your observations? That is all I can think of for now. If you dont feel like answering these questions dont feel obligated. I want you to be as comfortable as possible. I really appreciate anything you can answer. If you can think of anything else that might help let me know. Also let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Thank you again Alyssa :)
