Hello Harlan, My name is Carole. I am a friend of Ron Schilling, who I met through Don Johnson(Dj) who shared the same prison with Ron for many years. Not sure if you know Dj or not, Ron can tell you who he is, maybe you do. Ron wrote to me and mentioned you when I sent him a post you had done on racism. He said you and he go way back. I am also trying to help with Peg to get Ron a fair shake. I am writing to you to let you know 2 things. first, Ron said your behind on writing, haha! the last letter he got from you was in March. the second thing I wanted to say was, I enjoy your posts on here very much. You as well deserve a fair shake. I do not know if Peg is helping you out or not. I also do not know how this site works, or how long it will take you to get this. What I do know is, I am keeping you in my prayers. Hoping one day the lord will give you the fair shake you deserve.

David, So sorry I haven't written, I'll explain in my upcoming letter (don't ask me how long that will take for me to get out) how super crazy things have been. I received at least two letters over the past 5 weeks from you, I think I got everything. I spoke with Hope for the Warriors and they appreciated you and others' donations so much they were sending thank you letters to each of you, no matter how small the donation. They appreciate the funding to be able to send out speakers and guest visitors to groups of Veterans like yourselves. In regard to the young lady we talked about, you are correct, they do not accept checks; money orders or cash only. If there's someone who would be willing to be the liaison to compile the checks and submit it for you all, that could work. I am unable to at this time. Yes my brother C got your letter. No, CM is not thinking about joining the military at this time, he wants to become a fisherman! SM graduates high school the first week of June! Better lat than never! No new positive news about L but no bad news either. We saw her last month. JM gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl last month. I'm posting what you gave me, and people are reading them! You are not forgotten in there. I can post the Veterans letter this week too. But I think what everyone wants to hear are your hopes and dreams for your future life outside prison. What will you do with your time? What difference will you make in the world? Lastly, we are definitely making some bigger efforts to contact Governor Brauner about Clemency. It was great to hear that Gov Rauner wants to decrease the prison population, that means we need to push harder for him to notice you! I may not have had time to write you, but I made sure I had the time to submit two letters (email) to the Governor in the last month. Take care!
Ciao bello, I'm sending you greeting in my Italian language which you used in the end of your text. I really enjoyed reading of your text! I was really sorry, that you haven't been chosen for train the puppies, but I believe that you will have another possibilities to be chosen in the future. I liked a lot your writing about your brother and his daughter Lucy. She must be funny as every child. And for sure once in the future she will crazily love coffee! I was surprise, that her name is italian. I live in Italy and with her love for coffee and make up, she can be for sure native Italian. In the end of this letter I want to wish you all the best, I wish to your brother happy B-day, although it's passed and also to your mother happy Mother's day. I'm looking forward to reading another article from you. I've really appreciated it. Ciao, Dominika
