I wish I had looked this far back when I was writing you ... James (Bubba) does not have time to keep tabs on your mom ...who she writes and who she gets mail from ... How can you sit there and blast people out and then expect them to be there for you ... Do not worry I let my daughter see the things you write and I write .. I am actually keeping a record of our posts just for the purpose of you saying I am trying to turn my daughter against you ...honey you have done that yourself ... I had and still have nothing to do with it .. I was keeping the things you wrote away from her when she was younger but for the last few years Jessica reads her letters and some of mine but now I allow her to read all of them with me because I am so sick and tired of you accusing me of things ... You act like the whole world is against you ... You are so negative that I am tired of trying .. I am sorry I choose to spend time with my daughters instead of writing you all the time .. I also do not write you because I am tired of things not being answered and I am tired of you saying nasty ass things one minute and then being nice to me the next .... it is what it is but you asked for it and now Jessica is upset at you and one day she will talk to you or write to you but for now she just lets me have it about you so she can get it out of her system... Try not being so negative and mean and hateful you might actually get letters .. I actually feel sorry for you because you push everyone who does love and care about you away and unfortunately you think it is just because you are in prison....no honey it started years before you went to prison this time .... Jamie ... I am sorry for the words Michael had written you later in the month ... this sounds more like Michael then the mean one .. I do not know what happened between you two for him to lash out that aggressively but please understand it from Michaels point of view ... it is easy to be led astray when someone anyone starts talking to him and then all of a sudden things stop ... From what I know Michael lost his phone and if you need his address to write him it is on almost everyone of his letters he posts... Take care and I hope things workout for you two or at least you two can talk things out so he can understand things ...

If that's the fact you better start working on yourself, because there will always be someone that hurt you - it's the same for all of us, there are always one person or another that will hurt us in some way through out our lives, and that we cannot change, but what we CAN change is how we respond to it. I could easily have befriended you as a penpal, but sentiments like that freaks me out, that makes me back off instead. :-/
I truly apologize for Michael, he is not a bad guy but he does not handle things as well as I wish he would especially after being in prison going on 15 years now ... I know he is looking for friendship and when someone hurts him or does not do what they say then he lashes out in a way he would never if it was in person.... I hope he did not offend you too much ... he gets mad at me too but I just let him blow off whatever he needs to and then he is nice again... it might be because I am his baby momma but still Michael is not a bad guy ....
it's horrible that lovely things often come out of terrible things, especially poetry and negative personal experience. i hope you have a lovely day, and i also hope that you are very aware that you're an amazing writer; your structure is amazing, especially how you used enjambment, the run on sentences!
you are a wonderful poet!!! i hope that you continue to write. i really like 'soar' because it seems to say an awful lot for only two lines which is a really good thing for a poet to do. it's quite amazing!
Glad you wrote again more people than you know enjoy reading your post. I print it off and share it with the ones that does not have email and they enjoy reading it. I emailed Karen but she hasnt answered it. I appreciate this website and so grateful for them posting these blogs. I love you Mom
