Hi Eric!
I transcribed your letter, I hope I did not make mistakes, as I am Italian my English it is not perfect.
I read with interest how a day in prison unfolds.
If you want you can answer me through the site betweenthebars.org., where I read your letter.
I could tell you something about my country and culture.
Best regards.

Of all the posts that you might follow, I thought this may be the one.

Your sudden failure to communicate, when communication is free confused me. It effects others I minister to as well. My brother always said the fair is where you sell your pigs, so I will not cry "foul." Words left unspoken are hurtful. It is tempting to think, I was played the fool.

You have become numb to criticism Mr. Hendrix? Then why did you bother to respond to justice and all us other "anonymous keyboard thugs"? And as far as calling us thugs well not to introduce pots to kettles....sir. Responding late but I have to say, reading all your writings I see the same pattern: A very arrogant, manipulative, self centeredness and steadfast refusal to take responsibility with a continued insistence to blame others for their shortcomings. Part of the reason you remain in jail. Individuals such as you make me almost agree with the republican stance on crime, though I consider myself to be liberal. You have no right pulling the race card in your self proclamation as "innocent black man" because you are not. Your heinous atrocities were committed with the aid of another equally vicious black man (I refuse to say his name) upon INNOCENT black women. You were fingered by Black witnesses albeit one of those witnesses should be in jail with you for seeing poor Romona's suffering and choosing to do nothing and I can only hope that it haunts him for the rest of his life.
It was the evidence beyond a shadow of a doubt and a jury of your peers that put you exactly where you belong in prison for a long time. And despite your eloquent prose and your attention seeking podcast, you need to stay in jail for a long time

Her name was ROMONA MOORE and YOU are NOT the victim.....SHE WAS.

A few sweet and eloquent words does not negate your horrendous crime for which you are in jail for. In all the poetic tripe that you have written, I have not seen one word of sorrow, apology or remorse to ROMONA's family or to the other poor young lady you beat and raped who survived for the immense suffering you have caused. And obviously all of these people sending you encouragement and your girlfriends whom you seem to have fooled belies your capability to manipulate and deceive. You beat raped and killed a TOTALLY INNOCENT BEAUTIFUL young woman.

Her name was ROMONA MOORE.

As long has you have this pity party of a blog up, there will be people like myself who continue to remind you of the reason you are in prison. YOU are not the VICTIM here. ROMONA MOORE was the victim. Her family are the victims. That poor young fifteen year old girl who survived and probably is scarred for life is a victim. You sir ARE NOT. Keep telling yourself you are innocent, everyone else except your fan club know better. From the good cops that arrested you, the witnesses that identified you, prosecutor that fought to make sure you face the consequences and the jury of your peers that pronounced you guilty and the judge that pronounced sentence, we all knew/still know YOU ARE GUILTY. Also you talked about being in Solitary in darkness and you whine about being caged. At the very least you felt a fraction of the terror, pain and suffering that ROMONA felt.

HER NAME WAS ROMONA MOORE!!!! And she was the victim NOT YOU.

Your title on this one is such clickbait!

In answer to your question, indubitably I attempt to not harm the smaller things. I am a hostage to the cat on my lap, I relocate bugs from indoors rather than smashing them... unless it's flies, flies I kill. I'm not a Buddhist. Flies poop disease where they land. But I also like to interact with other beings... I'm curious, and have been known to catch bugs and lizards and moles in order to see them up close even though I know this isn't ideal for them. I am as gentle as I can be and don't keep them trapped for long, but baby bunnies are irresistably cute and I researched to find out that the mother doesn't reject them for smelling like people, she just comes back to the nest and feeds them.

Now that I've read your essay I'm feeling guilty about it though. Maybe I'll use binoculars more to see up close from here on out.
