Thanks so much for writing! I have been thinking about a similar problem - how negative habits slowly creep into our routines, without our noticing. Your sentence about negative triggers in the morning, really got to me. I recently struggled with that - waking up and immediately thinking that people were against me, or that I was worthless, or that I was somehow living life "wrongly". It was as if I went out of my way to feel bad upon waking up; I would rather sleep than activate my mind and its negative thoughts. Then I realized that my mind just had this bad habit. I then tried waking up and thinking positive things - the day is beautiful; my sleep was great; I cannot wait for breakfast. It is OK to have these positive thoughts; I had to convince myself of this. I read this great quote somewhere; I forget who said it, but it goes along the lines of this: "Don't be afraid of being unfaithful to your sadness, by being happy." Profound words. Anyway, sorry for rambling on about my experience; I just wanted to thank you very much for enlightening me about this tragedy going on in prisons - both physical and mental - throughout America. Keep writing! Can't wait to read the next piece!

Hey Trevin, My name is Russell and I am the man from Springfield who has a son in jail right now. Arraignment was today and pre trial for October 6. The prosecutor has offered 10 years but says he is wiling to talk.

I Copied the paragraph where you referred to me and sent it word for word to my son.

Keep that food for thought coming Trevin, you are right on my man. Good meaningful and thoughtful writing.

I pray for you a lot. Hoping my son can meet a fine gentleman like yourself to Shepard him through.

May God Continue to Richly Bless You

Russell Seaver

I read this article in a Rolling Stone I had borrowed from my local library last year whilst waiting for a delayed flight at the airport.

It really had an impact on my mind and so this year I have been studying Mental Health, taking a complete change of career path.

Thanks Jeff Tietz

Hey Buddy! I spoke to your friend Paul early this morning; very early this morning (6am). Seems I forgot I now live in Florida. Anyways, I haven't forgot about you again, I'm just overwhelmed by life and preoccupied by my problems to the point it impacts my ability to keep up with everything. Mainly a consequence of the divorce and trying to keep my two lil ones from being hurt. We'll have time to talk about all that since I set up the "prison call solutions" and "global-tel-link" accounts. I added $50.00 to the account for the call we make. Let me give you the number you'll need to call: it's 209-763-8391. It's apparently a local area code to you out there so the calls are much cheaper than they'd otherwise be. In talking to Paul, we discussed me getting you a package finally like I've wanted to do very badly for you. He gave me the name of a few vendors that I have to use in order to get you things.
Well, I'm going to keep thiis short. Lots to do. The machine in my carpet cleaning van needs fixing in order for me to be able to answer calls for work. Today's Friday so my two lil ones are coming over tonight for the weekend, which I always look forward to a great deal.
Talk to you later bud!
Chris
