I have learnt to live with no snail at times, but now I am hitting panic mode, no snail and no phone calls.....................
Just so you know how worried I am about you I have sent emails out to all contact numbers you have given me over the years to see if they can hep me, this not knowing is horrible, I cant deal with this much longer.
Don, I dont know whats wrong or if I did something to upset you,but surely you can talk to me, yes/no??
My love, if you have met someone else then please tell me, dont cut me dead like this. I will give you your freedom if you want, just talk to me, please.
Its been an awful month with worrying and doubt, please make contact with me.
I am currently job hunting throughout New England. Most job opportunities are in the health care field and with the department of corrections. What does this say about our society?

Hey Michael. I read Season's Greetings and you didn't mention me in it. This is Rebecca Slisher. I sent you a letter today you should get it by next Tuesday or Wednesday.
How are you doing on this Thursday afternoon? I know that you said that you do not like change, but many times change can be a good thing! For instance, your transferring locations allows you to be treated the right way by the staff at Vacaville. I am glad that you like and are enjoying Vacaville. I really liked reading about your budding and growing relationship with your niece Cindy and her lovely family. Do not let this transfer disappoint you with regards to your relationship with Cindy. I have high hopes that you will be able to contact her very soon (if you have not already) and that she will go visit her uncle, no matter the distance. After reading about your bond with your old roommate Scott, I genuinely do hope that he will be transferred to Vacaville, and that you guys will be able to resume being the best roommates ever! I am glad that you seem to be enjoying your transfer despite these things. It's also great that you want to help others in need! That will make both you and others happy. I enjoyed reading your post, and I look forward to corresponding with you in the future!
Sincerely,
sanchezm

Thanks for writing! I finished the transcription for your post.
It's been a lot of years since I left prison, but I remember struggling with a lot of the same things - not knowing my family, not knowing if I'd ever be able to amend what damage I'd caused. It's taken some time to repair things, but you're right - allowing others to express their feelings, whether good or bad, is a huge part of the process.

The prison abolition movement is growing, and it's stories like yours that make people think about the PIC. You're not alone!
