By being politically and socially conscious you realize above and beyond anything else, that sacrifices are required and you do not allow your actions to be dictated by the fact that there is no "law" that gives you the "freedom" to express your conscience.
The lack of such a "law" should in and of itself inspire individuals to speak out, and to take other actions based on one's conscious understanding of things that affect their lives, the lives of others, plus the world we live in.
