What is being a witch? Will it certainly ain't Hollywood's stereotype that most people believe. No, sorry, I can't wave my wand and have all my wishes come true. I wish!

Being a Wiccan, or a witch, as I prefer, is the hardest path anyone could choose to follow. I have been struggling on the path for nine years. I have been a part of a few covens. But it doesn't matter which path you choose—solitary or with group work—being a witch is not just magic. It is doing rituals, even when you're exhausted from working. It is choosing not to spray the dandelions in your yard, even though it pisses off your neighbor with the perfect lawn. It is rejoicing the changes of the seasons and sharing that beauty with others. And still, after nine years, I still consider myself a student. I realize that to grow spiritually one must always be open to learning something new.

But I am looking for a coven now, for I can learn more if anyone knows one! I would like to know. And I am also looking for people to write to as pen-pals.

But may your paths be full of wonder and magic. Blessed be.
