Thank you for your kind words concerning my poem "Live." I also like this poem, it's one of my favorites. Its a step by step guide of my time in prison. Being in prison for 12 years with 12 more years to go has changed me. Mostly for the better, I no longer use drugs or drink alcohol and my way of thinking isn't as negative but my heart has hardened. I struggle through each day trying to find my humanity in a dark, carnival house of mirrors. "My face hurts" yet I still go on because I know that being sober is a small portion of truly living. I don't want to get out of prison bitter and cynical. Thank you again and I appreciate you taking time out of your life to let me know I'm not alone.

Heres another poem you mgiht enjoy
-Abyss-
Theres an amptiness
inside of me
Ive tried to fill with
love and drugs
sex and hate
books and writing.
I have come to the conclusion
they have made me
feel more empty
