T.V. Shows

Seen how T.V. is part of my life and has an effect on me (whether I realize it or not) I can't help but to continue writing about it. And this T.V. show I have only good things to say.

You've probably heard of it, maybe not, it's called 'What Would You Do' airing on ABC. The crux of the show is very good. Here you have unsuspecting people put in a situation where they must act in a moral and ethical way. What makes it so good is that you see people in the raw and flesh baring their true self. For instance this part Friday, the 31 of May they showed a skit where there was a couple with their child (around 10 or so) and both parents were drinking, the father more. So they're about to board their boat and people know that he's drunk, he can't drive, he has a child so... what would they do? Most acted to stop him from driving the boat, which is the moral and ethical thing to do. A good thing to present to the populace, right? Why then aren't there more shows like this?

If you were to take T.V. shows as a whole the majority of them are bullshit and moribund. There are shows such as 2 Broke Girls where sexist jokes are abundant, the women are portrayed as dumb and "whoreish". What does that convey to people's unconscious minds? Shows are a favorite like Survivor where in order to win you must outwit, backstab, lie, cheat and do anything in order to get on top. What behavioral modifications does that have on society at large? And for the life of me, why so many damn cop shows? Why are T.V. networks trying to portray pigs in a good light?

Why can't we have more positive T.V. shows that promote good, healthy relations with one another? People will have their arguments and counter ones too. For all the hypocrites it shows, for the effort it shows to show that there is good people, I can say this is a good show. Others, maybe many will call it boring, well, these people can't comprehend the forest only trees and for others that do... it's magnificent.
