Kat,
Sabaidi. Thank-you for the comments I do appreciate it. I know I don't get much comments on my writings. But it doesn't deters me from continuing to share my work. Hey, you liked it, so I'm doing just fine. One is better than none.
To be honest Asian people rarely receive any kind of recognitions. This is a fact hard to ignore in our society. If you just sit back and observe a little, you will notice what I mean. Look on TV when Asian people enter into these talent shows, they are good but America seems not to vote for them, and they never seem to win. Also, in our political system Asian people in America are a after thought. The news medias always seems to mention how they seeking the African American, Latino American and women votes. But how about the Asian votes? Do we even exist? So what I am trying to say is, my writings may not receive comments because of my race. However, it's kool with me. Asian Progression must move on.
Anyways, Kat, are you Laotian? I wish I can know more about you and share with you more things about me. You can always snail mail too, if you are comfortable with that. To end, your kind words are fuel for me to feed this flame of determination within me to continue to keep posting my work and strive harder. Thank-you so much. Best wishes to you and may you be ever bless in your endeavors.

Thank you for the response to my comment and sorry for the wrong spelling of your name. I choose the short name this time so I wouldn't mess it up again. :)
You wanted to know if I'm Laotian. I'm not, I'm very much German, living in Scandinavia for the last couple of years. I've never been in Laos but I was in Cambodia in April this year and this trip left a deep impression in my heart and soul. My stepson lives there, working for a NGO helping disabled people to get education and a chance to support themselves and their families. So we went there to visit him.
The people in Cambodia are such a amazing folk. Their kindness is overwhelming. They nearly have nothing material but they have so much spirit and joy. They meet you with a smile and an open heart. I really loved to be around them. That was my first trip to Asia and for sure not the last one. I would love to see Laos or Vietnam.
I'm sure you are right with the fact that Asian people are very much discriminated and nobody pays attention. That's sad, because the culture they carry is very much fascinating. I've been in some temples in Cambodia. It's such a high culture.
We can take up contact by snail mail. I don't mind. I just want to make sure that the address on your profile here at Between the bars is still right. It's been a while (April 2011) since your first post. You may have moved. Are you still at this address: RGCI PO box 925, Redgranite, WI 54970?
I'm looking forward to read more poetry from you! Keep strong!
With best wishes,
Kat
