Help From Congress
It's rare that I have nuch to say about Congress that is positive because I am so disgusted by polarizing antics and putting partisanship above service. But I must publicly thank Congresswoman Diana DeGette and Senator Barbara Boxer for trying to help me obtain better mental healthcare. I am a prisoner and thus I can neither vote nor donate to their campaigns but they took action to help me anyways and for this I am grateful (see 2 letters attached). Hopefully I will be sent to the STAGES Program and will no longer be held in solitary confinement at ADX where a slow death of the mind and soul afflicts every man.

Dear Mr. #16267064:
I am writing to inform you that my District Office has received your correspondence concerning mental health treatment. After reviewing your materials, my staff is contacting the United States Bureau of Prisons to request an investigation of this matter and provide my office with a written response detailing their findings.
After initial agency contact, my office must allow the United States Bureau of Prisons a minimum of one month to reply to our inquiry. Thereafter, a follow-up letter is submitted on your behalf. I share your desire to resolve this matter in a timely fashion. Please understand that the Unites States Bureau of Prisons deals with a relatively high volume of inquiries and, as such, I would ask for your patience throughout this process.
I have enclosed general guidelines regarding how our office can assist you with congressional inquiries. Please contact my Congressional Aide, Stephanie Davila-Syner, at (303)844-4988 should you have any additional questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Diana DeGette
