INTERVIEW WITH A JOURNEYMAN
Tues 7-9-13

Interviewer: So who are you?

Journeyman: I'm just a man.

Interviewer: So how are you?

Journeyman: I'm great.

Interviewer: How can that be?

Journeyman: Well the math does itself. He who the Son sets free, is free indeed.

Interviewer: Ok I get your drift. You don't seem like the type. So I have to ask; What brought you here?

Journeyman: First, thanks for the compliment. I was once told "with Jeasus don't look like what you been through." Well my attempt to be baptized into the culture of "thug life" ended with a botched robbery & an inncocent man fighting for his life.

Interviewer: Obviously, at some point you disrobed the filthy garments of that destructive lifestyle choice for the righteous armor of God. Suffice to say you found Jesus at some point. Tell us about that moment in your life.

Journeyman: Well, I assure you my spiritual history didn't begin with me finding God. See just like with the apostle Paul - JESUS FOUND ME. (Isaiah 65:1,2) I wasn't thinking bout Jesus; matta of fact I spent years wishing Him death! [sorry.] He the one decided to show up one scalding hot July afternoon, & whispered, "Trust Me & you'll be alright." This He spoke while I was on the verge of plotting my own death. Matta fact I was crafting a suicide note & making funeral arrangements.

Interviewer: Good to see you're alive & well. That you can simply enjoy having a smile on your face.

Journeyman: Thank you. For some reason I'll never understand God chose to bless me with a joyful ambiance.

Interviewer: Truly Jesus saves. Would you care to comment on anything else He saved you from?

Journeyman: My Lord & Saviour saved me from the sorrow conjoined to the pursuit of other gods-that aren't gods at all. He also saved me from the demonic doctrine of "str8h8" Now instead of casting spells, I cast blessings. Instead of wishing death on my neighbors, I can now love them as myself.

Interviewer: Doesn't it feel great to love again?

Journeyman: Yes. Praise God. I remember being a 6-7 yr old boy who dreamed of being Dr. Huxtable (Cosby Show). The weird part is that me & Mr. Bill Cosby share the same birthday in real life. Anywho thank God for restoring my childish heart. I needed that. Lord knows the devil worked a number, numbers on me over the course of my life. Revelation 12. He'd been trying to swallow me up since I was born.

Interviewer: Yeah being worked over leads to a hardened heart. Ask me how I know. Well not right now, I'm in the middle of an interview. Haha!

Journeyman: That's cool. We all need to laugh even at work.

Interviewer: Any advice for our audience?

Journeyman: Simply put. GOD IS LOVE. You were made in His image therefore YOU are to be LOVE. The devil wants you to be hate. Protect your heart. Proverbs 4:23

Take care God bless you & yours abundantly & foreverly

P.S. today you will make choices that will make today great.

Amen
:) :) :) smile you're entitled to it :) :) :)
