Pax Vebiscum!
Agalia, my precious friend and daughter, I pray you are well in health and spirits, and I hope that your recent trip was adventurous and enjoyable for you and your mother.
I must admit that I am yet overwhelmed with joy at your appearance on my blog. :) It has truly been an inspirational event! You are that exuberant force within my life, that beautiful and precious moving star rising to give me both hope and guidance within the darkened abyss called prison.
Every man and woman is a star! This is a verse from Liber XXXI al The Book of the Law, and it truly applies to us (mankind) in every sense—whether we realize it or not, each and every one of us are micro-universes within ourselves. We have our planets, moons, satellites, and starts that we orbit—or they orbit around us. And from the greatest to the smallest, positive or negative, each and every act we perform, decision we make in some way, affects everyone even in the minutest sense, as every physical act, mental thought, or verbal comment resonates throughout the Universe.
Life behind these walls is what one makes it. Yes! It's rough mentally, sometimes dangerous and deadly in the physical sense. The worst of all is the damage done to the spirit! I've seen men come in here as devote Christians, Muslims, and Buddhists and become the walking dead within five or six years! Their spirits are completely crushed and destroyed. For them nothing exists—no god of any kind; no hope; no passion; dreams or desires—NOTHING! This is the worst of all things that prison can impose and execute upon one.
I am fortunate and thankful that after 28 years I am yet mentally and spiritually intact! You, Agalia, and your mother Christen have been the biggest reasons for this. And I owe my mother and Zhana a big credit as well in their support and dedication over the years. Zahna was there with and for me through the long and dark years I just done in solitary confinement (2004-2011), and you and your sister were ever there in my heart, mind, and spirit. All of you, I am so thankful for and ever indebted to!
I love you and miss you so much. Your beautiful and bright smiles and the warmth of your laughter. Ad infinitum.
Love, your dad and friend,
