Prison
Prison should be a place where
we strive to elevate our minds,
It should be viewed as another chance,
Not just a place to do some time.
Prison should be where we search within,
And try to redeem our life.
A place where we put the pieces back together,
And rise above the negativity and strife.
Prison should be a place where we learn from our mistakes.
And set positive goals to do whatever it takes.
To be a better person mom, dad or friend,
And seek forgiveness for our wrongs,
And everywhere make amends.
