STOP AND FRISK SHUT DOWN!

Can't recall if it was yesterday or today that a judge announced that New York's Police Department's policy of stop and frisk was unconstitutional.

Word of this couldn't have come sooner too, as the policy was targeting "black" and "Latino" youth mostly. Once pulled over (and searched for no reason) your name was in the police database as if you're a criminal of some sort. I nearly exploded with joy as this policy of stop and frisk should be called as what it is, systemic targeting of oppressed black and Latino youth. As this policy was all out there, something as big couldn't be hidden. However, I can't ignore the thought in the back of my head that says if such a blatant policy of profiling is allowed to get into daylight, what other policies do police departments or law enforcement have that are under seal and only known by those that carry it out?

The ruling the judge gave would be appealed and, who knows how that battle will turn out. But I won't get into how the policy was justified to search for "terrorist" and help ease "crime" of some sort. Now and days police use "terrorism" and terrorist plots to justify their actions and policies, which should have people worried. With the net of terrorist ever expanding more, any act of defiance and "outspokenness" of this system and state "U.S." can be deemed to be aligned with terrorist groups. In reality the people with badges and guns are the terrorist. For what, "peace officers" had authority without their gun? If it wasn't that threat of coercion and of getting shot, arrested or killed, really, where would they be?

But I'm getting off topic. It's about this policy, that about time was brought to daylight and shut down. It only goes to prove that with people unifying, organizing and putting focus to dismantle something, it is possible. Now what other thing or policy is next??
