Howdy y'all! Wow, I have a lot to respond to - I wish we could all email each other together! How are the both of you?
As you've probably read, I've been out of the Hole for awhile. I'm a little apprehensive as I've got to the Hole in the fall for the past 3 years in a row. I hope that cycle is over!
Thanks so much for your quotes - they are great! I'm glad you don't mind my frustrations. It seems like I have too many.
That is great news about your daughter Ellie's pregnancy, Rita. I'm excited for you.
Little Pilgrim, I am so grateful for your kind words + support. It is really tough coping with the situations in here. But you know what's scary? I've been in so long I'm not sure about how to cope if I got out tomorrow. I'd be on the street with nothing. That's getting to be even scarier.
I can read in the Hole, Rita, I thrive on books in there as long as I have access to them. Fortunately in the Hole next door, they bring a book cart around once a week + I hoard books.
Have you gotten my reply letter? I took your address off the envelope + I hope I got it right.
I enjoyed picturing your meditation space, Little Pilgrim. I never meditated in the Real World, but only started a few years ago. I'm trying to get back to meditating every night again. Your message about the whisper in the breeze is beautiful + I agree with you. By the way, I love candles + used to burn them every night in the Real World.
Rita, what happened with George? Today's the 26th + I really, really hope he gets out. They don't have parole in the federal system + I'm facing 13 more years. It's insane.
