RE: Pelican Bay Sity Strike And Hearings

Hey JT,
Today is thanksgiving. I just finished eating the dinner man it gets smaller and smaller portion wise every year. The meal was not good at all. But the cake was okay. First time they have given us frosting. It tasted really good too. But they gave us a piece of turkey so damn small it would fit perfect on a saltine cracker. Man they should of just left it off the tray. There was string beans, about two spoonfuls. And two small yams :)Oh and a drop of cranberry, don't ask if I got full.

Sure they are having hearings at laest thats what they call them, we get up dates on them but they are not doing anything fast enough. Hell we've been back here over twenty years, you'd think they could make the small changes which could be done internally right here, right now, such as letting us buy a damn plastic cup. How hard could it be to put them on the canteen, they put a damn soap dish on it. We can now have a soapdish. I been using a milk carton that I cut in half to hold my soap. I'm tired of drinking out of a milk carton. These cartons are small and thin, not your ordinary pint milk carton.

Sure theres hearings, but they could alst months, years. Think about it, its not like we just got here. Everyday they let pass without any changes of modifications is only adding to the time we've done without, and prolonging our oppression, yes they say theres light at the end of the tunnel, but how long is that tunnel.

I have been reading the legislatures comments too, but they are just words that sound real good and look promising on paper, but we are not on the other side of the world seeking aid. Like some of the third world countries that the U.S takes foever to assist, letting thousands die before acting, no we are in their backyard, they could make changes a lot faster than you'd think. I'll tell you this, our food has gotten worse since the strike ended.

And yes, I know that our demands are legitimate, you have not heard everything yet, I'm barely getting started. We have known about CDCR's activities throughout California's system. including the women prisons, and the problems in U.S prisons because of all the civil suits being filed by prisoners.

Don't believe everything the state officials and public officials say, because we sure the hell don't, we've been lied to so many times we know better now, and keep in mind these legislatures had a lot to do with making the laws that put most of us here. They were all on the crack down on crime train, and we were the ones that felt the impact the most (it was crackdown on crime - not prisoners) but what the hell we're all the same. But, yes I thinm we'll see a change "It's just a long time coming is all."

Yes, thank you for your comments. Especially for my mom, I still was not given a call. And that's one of the things they have been telling us, "They are going to give us phone calls, yeah right, the one time I really needed one, it was denied. What good is it going to do me next year or two years from now. Thank you for being so kind.

Always
I remain
Pablo
