New Tech
New tech will be introduced to the prisoners at SCI-Gr this year: GTL Genesis 116-PA. This GTL Genesis in-pod has- 7" multi-touch LED screen, 512 MB memory, and 16 GB flash m-y. The cost has not been determined. We'll be able to purcha- PG13 movies, games, music, and books through our commissary. Nothing is free. There's no Internet access. We can only access wha- use for it. All I see is another way for the prison industr- to dig even deeper into our pockets, and to save money by- inating excess hard copies, cell content, and eventually hand- vered mail. I heard that a couple of prisons in other state- eliminated mail by only receiving emails for prisoners. Tha- already outsourced the processing of prisoners' funds recei- our family and friends now have to send any money for us to a- state for processing.
But I must go with the times if I'm to be a part of our new world order: Computers!
