Subject: 'Happy New Year!!!'
January 1st is the beginning for me, and the end of this nightmare. I'm fighting to be free, for my life. I'm starting with new artworks and projects so you all can get to know me a little better, and decide to help me achieve my goals - justice and freedom. It's going to take some time for the new paintings but I ask you to be patient, for you will not be disappointed. My projects are in the works as well. I'm still working out the details to bring you a new line of designs I feel you can get behind and support. One project is writing more about the injustices in my case. By talking more openly about the issue you'll come to understand how my wrongful conviction effecting you. Believe me when I tell you, that if it can happen to me it can most surely happen to any one of you. I was dragged into the street in my drug-induced stupor and handed this murder case. There wasn't any evidence that I had done anything wrong, except slowly killing myself on drugs. Nor is there any evidence linking me to the victims of this terrible crime. My photo was plucked out of a photo spread from a case these people were actively involved in, and so were the detectives investigating. We still don't know how I became a suspect, but we do know, and can prove, that the DA lied in open court about it. It's truly disturbing how this goes on everyday to people all across this country. Unless there's DNA evidence, no one wants to believe that the police got the wrong man until it's too late.
Well it's a new year, but the same old battle. But I'm older and wiser. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!!!!!!

First of all I like to wish you a Happy New Year plenty of inspiration, friendship, warmth and inner peace.
You are an optimistic open person with many goals and I wish you continue it going along your way, Daniel.
It's been 2 yrs I have written... goshie! I am 67 by now, but I maintained my young spirit though. ;)
I wrote to some more people here on this blog site and noticed how many are so very lonely...I try to give them some courage and hope, as they all deserve this.
Of course so many events happened here!So many changes have happened your side of life; Daniel!? So, tell me what you're busy with, ok?
Here I am still living in Antwerpen), an important port.Brussels is our capital; mom lives there. She's 90 and still doing good.Living on her apartment.
Our family lived 7 yrs in th States: 3 in Utah and 4 in Ohio.
Later on we as a couple lived also almost 6 yrs in Argentina, Buenos Aires.
Our daughters Elke and Leslie (Leslie was born in Utah) also studied 4 yrs in Ohio.
Now L. decided to stay with her husband in CA. They have two kids.
Elke and her partner expect their second child for January 28th!They have another girl Lynn.
I will become the godmother.:)
I do play again the piano. I 'should' paint, but I am so busy with lots of other activities as well!
Daniel, how is your art going along? Tell me about your drive and the activities you do?All is well with you? I hope so!

I read you were wrongfull convicted... and you are not the only one!

Yes, Daniel, people are all connected and all we do as good deads to other humans, comes back to us.:)I see you stay updated of actions having to do with our society.
Are you in solitary confinement? I hope you're not. People are not islands... :((

I read you do some art? I am an artist myself!I painted a lot in the past!I love mudic as well.Do you?
I borrow cd's in my library. Now Nat King Cole and two female singers are played recently: Eva Cassidy and Suzanne Vega.Know them? I love so many other singers and among them are Luka Bloom and Diana Krall. Also I write in a group of writers on internet.Love it! Poems once and a while too, Depending of our theme.:))
Do you read books as well? Which ones keep your interest going, Daniel?
On the 28th of January I got a new grandchild: LARS is his name. A little brother for Lynn, she is 2.
And my oldet grandchildren Adric,7 and Claire,5 live in CA, San Diego.I am Lars's godmother too.;))
