Hi, Rita. Thank you for your encouraging words and support on the issues I faced in 2015. For a time, it was depressing and disappointing. I thought I was doing something wrong and felt it was my fault that I was having these antagonistic clashes over foolishness. So I had to take a step back for an objective review.

Although I have difficulty expressing myself and being understood, there was no cause for the responses I had received. I discovered that it wasn't me but them. Today, one of the protagonists and I were civil to one another. Those situations could've turned out very tragic, but for the grace of God. I've seen so many tragedies last year that didn't have to escalate to that level of senselessness. I wish we'd try to be more understanding and tolerant towards one another. For now, I'm just keeping my distance.

It's good to hear from you again, no matter how long it has taken. It does get very lonely around here in solitary confinement. On behalf of those souls you've touched, we appreciate your friendship. If only more people would care enough to reach out as you have, then many this would would be a better place.

I had this privilege to witness many acts of charity and kindness this holiday season. It was so beautiful seeing people helping one another. Even the police responding to an elderly man's 911 call brought groceries for this man who hadn't eaten in days. So many hardships adverted. I hope that this goodwill continues well into the future.

Although nothing much is happening in my case right now, the tide is slowly changing. We don't have a "smoking gun" yet, but more exculpatory evidence is coming to light that may help win my freedom. Also more minds and hearts are changing on the issue of criminal justice reform. The word is getting around about the tragedy of mass incarceration. We have new justices in the Supreme Court and hopefully a better mindset. I hear that there's an integrity unit in Philadelphia that's supposed to be reviewing some claims of wrongful convictions. They've been dragging their feet for a few years now. I hear there's pressure on them now.

I'll close here for today. I do hope to hear from you again soon.

Daniel
