Subject: "Failure To Launch"
The online T-shirt fundraiser did not take off as I had hoped, and I am very disappointed. I sent over 30 notices to family, friends & organizations in the U.S. asking for their support to further my legal education in my fight for justice & my freedom by purchasing a T-shirt I designed. Only 1 T-shirt was sold. This failure to launch feels like a reflection of what people think of me and of how much they care about my wrongful conviction.
If this fundraiser was successful, I was hoping to be able to design more T-shirts for more worthier causes like Cancer research; Re-entry & Crime prevention programs; and a scholarship fund for victims' families. I already donate my paintings when I can. I strive to be a more positive influence in my community, it doesn't matter that I'm in here.
Despite the dismal results of this T-shirt fundraising campaign, I'll continue to design t-shirts & paint for these great causes in an effort to give back & make a difference--paying it forward.
