Hello,

I greet you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray this letter is well-received and that God's work is accomplished in His time.

I want to get to the point immediately. I will in background information after revealing what is in my heart.

I am looking for prayer partners. I hope your, or members of your congregation, are willing to pray for the needs of God's children in this prison. We previously had a prayer ministry on this yard that ceased to meet the needs of those it was meant to serve. Now the Holy Spirit is directing us to pick up where that one failed, with some changes.

The ministry, as God is revealing to me, is more focused. It has several components. The first is the keeping of a prayer journal. The book has spaces in it to record the date of the request, the supplications being asked, God's response, and the date of the precise report. Using this information will help to meet the second objective.

The next component is to focus the awareness of our congregation on God's grace and mercy. As they witness His provision, their trust and belief in the sustainer of all things will grow. The regular reports of answered prayer will strengthen their faith, giving them more confidence.

The third component is to encourage our congregation in their private prayers. The first two objectives will be the foundation to meet this end. Added to them are the collection of and delivering prayer prompters. These are quotes from great men of God on the need, power, and purpose of regular supplications to the Master. Finally, I plan to continually engage and lead men in prayer. I will also ask other individuals to pray for specific people's needs.

In all this, I am seeking outside help. I want prayer partners who will pray for this ministry and for the requests I send them. It is vital to the success of this undertaking. I will communicate with our prayer partners regularly to pass on requests. More importantly, I will report the praises of answered petitions. I believe that all who participate will be greatly blessed.
