Darwin L. Erwin Sr.:
Another example of just how broken the Texas criminal court system truly is.

In the case of The State of Texas vs. Darwin L. Erwin Sr., the public is forced yet again to acknowledge that there are seriously grave issues which must be rectified with regards to the legal system in Texas. Here we have a husband, father, son and brother who was snatched away from his loved ones for "16 years" for a sexual assault crime with available evidence that overwhelmingly proves he is actually and factually innocent.

The reality of Darwin's innocence has been documented in a story aired by the Public Broadcasting System (PBS). I am urging everyone who reads this blog to check out the PBS story and join the many voices that are calling on Texas Governor Rick Perry to exercise his authority to grant Darwin L. Erwin Sr. a full pardon and put an end to this tragic miscarriage of justice that began in a Texas county where the court system and its law enforcement have become synonymous with the words corruption and injustice. '

"There can never be any equal justice in Texas or America where the kind of trial and appeal a man enjoys depends on the color of his skin."
