David,
Your ability to find ways around your obstacles is amazing. Also, your patience and determination is amazing. Your work is great! I too cross stitch, but not under such strained conditions. As is, it is difficult to follow those patterns exactly. Whenever I find I've miscounted I get frustrated. Usually, I can't find the mistake and I chuck the piece aside. I also draw a lot. I initially clicked your name because I have relatives with the same last name as you. But, once I saw your work I had to say something. I have a book full of fairy drawings that you can color. I got it for the same reason you got your book. I wanted to draw fairies. I would love to see the book you have. Maybe you could just tell me the title and I could get my own copy. I think it's great you have found constructive ways to fill your time. When you are released it will be much easier for you to find ways of spreading your artwork out even more. Good luck to you with that. I have been surfing the website "Between the Bars" because I am a psychology student and a writer for a true crime magazine. I was hoping to reach out to some prisoners to learn more about prison life in the eyes of a prisoner. I want to learn more about how effective the justice and prison systems are. If you would be interested in sharing some of your thoughts, opinions, and ideas, I would love to hear them. I will not barrage you with questions you do not want to answer. You can share whatever you want to and do not have to feel obligated to share anything more than that. Realize that I too will not be sharing everything with you. I am open-minded to a blossoming friendship, but I will not be fulfilling any romantic whims. I just want to get that out because I do not want any prisoners communicating with me on the premise that we may one day develop romantic feelings for each other. With that said, I look forward to any contact from you.
