Dry Spell

by Steve J. Burkett (author's profile)

Transcription

Dry Spell

9 months of silence

Burning sun 24/7

Hot winds blowing

On my face, in my eyes

A gang of buzzards

Circling overhead

Waiting to feast

Upon my wounded heart

As well they should.

No - I haven't written - even when I try, it just doesn't happen. Almost your birthday - and then Christmas - I think of you so much but I can't force myself to write.
Amber had a baby 7 weeks ago - on the anniversary of the death of the baby they lost. He would have been 3 now. Everything is going well - what a blessing
