Have you heard that Pennsylvania's Governor Tom Wolf has declared a moratorium on all executions in Pennsylvania pending the results of an investigation into the death penalty. Governor Wolf cited cases like Harold C. Wilson, an exonerated death row prisoner who was almost executed twice; like the many others who were exonerated or had their sentences reduced.
It's chilling to see the many errors of our judicial system has made, as one case after another is overturned, exposing injustices in the system. The governor also cited part of the legislative's study goals which is to investigate the errors and costs of the death penalty. So for now, no one will be executed.
We all hope that the truth of the death penalty's horrors will be revealed and it will be no more.
