FAMILY TIES

I am excited by a new development in my life. I was without any family connections for most of my life. I searched long and hard hoping to reach one of my siblings one day. My work paid off. I made contact with my brother Peter. we were separated from each other almost 43 years ago. Now we are making up for lost time. How would you feel in my place?

I was scared to reach out from prison. I worried that my inquiries would be rejected. I am pleased to report my brother embraced me. I received at least one letter from him each day last week. His interest means the world to me. I think that I may belong somewhere for the first time in my life. My isolation is slipping away. Hope replaces defeat. My heart is being healed. Can you see the hand of God at work in my life? He made the impossible come to pass. He is restoring my family.

The Bible says: "But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33) The verse is true; God demonstrates His love in my life. He knows what I desire physically, mentally, and emotionally. When I set my eyes on Jesus Christ and concentrate on serving Him, He supplies my every need. I wait upon His grace and mercy. I trust in His presence, and trust that He is my Sovereign Lord.

He blesses me in many ways, I am thrilled by this latest development. I am reconciled to my brother Peter. Praise God!
