Hola VB,
Thank you so much for your comments. I never thought about lines being powerful. So I would like to thank you for saying that. Really, how I feel about that is your thoughts, your comments, your insights—that's what gives power to anything I write. So thank you so much for taking your time to taking your time to read them and comment about them.
As for my handwriting, to me, it's been a beautiful gift but also a curse. Because many people nowadays can't read or write cursive so it's hard for them to understand it at times. Some people can't even write in print (I read an article about it in a National Geographic about that). Even some of the people I used to write through snail-mail asked me on several occasions to tone it down a bit, because they couldn't understand it. So that's the curse part. The beautiful gift part is that I get compliments a lot, and it looks pretty on paper. But, like I said before, it's held me back because people can't read it so I've tried to tone it down a bit.
I actually started practicing in the fifth grade. Around that time, I was drawing a lot. And my fifth grade teacher actually had the entire alphabet around the classroom, and so out of pure curiosity, to see if I could do it, I began to "draw" them on paper. Eventually, it just started to become natural for me. A loop here, a swirl there. So now this is how I write. :) Though I won't lie, sometimes I wish my print was just as pretty.
Thank you for the best wishes. I wish you the best as well. I don't know if you are male or female, but whatever you are or whoever you are, VB, I pray that the Creator blesses you always.
Sincerely,
Jesus Andrade
