There's a girl
I know
in my mind
we remain alone
a love so pure
we live free
despite the bars
of such insanity's
in this place
the girl waits
for our freedom
to be reality
we are trapped
in a cage
seems like too many
things continue to
keep us separate
but this girl
I know
she waits for me
like Annabel Lee
in a castle
not unlike the one
by the sea
I traveled there
with no sense of time
it only takes an instant
the thought traveling
in my mind
I hold her close
and tell her she's mine
gaze deeply into
those beautiful brown eyes
this girl I know
is my perfect match
yet time continues
to make me wish
for too many stars
and worlds away
to see her again
with no air to keep us
separate
the bars that keep me
trapped inside
give life to my love
I can not deny
makes it strong and swift
it takes me to her
the girl I miss
to the girl I love and know
the girl only in my mind
are we ever alone.
