Everybody is Somebody
Sometimes God can only reach men by what seems like stern means, but the purpose is always for his goal. God loves all his creations and wishes none to perish. He must often be stern before He can be kind, if He is to save them eternal ruin.
These actions teach us that everybody is somebody with God. The world recognizes people for what they have done. God recognizes us for what He has done for us through Jesus Christ.
When we are born again, not a physical birth but a spiritual rebirth, we move from a life that is sin-centered to a life that is God-centered. We move from a life that is self-led to a life that is Holy Spirit-led.
As believers we gain eternal life and are citizens of the Kingdom of God with all of its benefits. We have the promises of God as a source of strength and encouragement. We have the assurance that we are all His precious children and have as our inheritance all that His Word offers. And we have the peace of God to sustain us in the storms of life and days of distress, which I deal with every day as a prisoner, so His peace is always around me.
In Christ we all, including prisoners, are somebody very important to God. But the treatment we receive in here has me second guessing! Why?
