The Name of God is Love

Hey everyone, I'd like to talk to you about a message God gave me the other day. I was having a bad day. Medical had charged me $100.00 and refused to tell me what for. The psych Dr. told me I was a liar and had never been mentally ill, and I was just lonely. So I was feeling a little down.

I came back to the pod after lunch and got me a cup of cold water. As I was walking to a table, I heard in my mind a gentle voice say, "The name of God is Love." I immediately felt better and I told anyone who would listen. Isn't God glorious? I felt bad and He comforted me. :)

I have often heard people argue about the true name of God and I always wondered how arrogant humans are. Why would Father God need a name? It's not like you can put the wrong address on a prayer meant for Him. Jehovah, YHWH, Hossanna are things humans have assigned to God in an attempt to gain some form of control over the Almighty.

The name of God is Love. Everything God created was for love, everything you have is from God with love. "For God so loved us, He gave His only son to die for our sins." The greatest gift God gave mankind was free will. Really, I beg to differ. The greatest gift God ever gave us is His love, and he gives it each and every day. Jesus say, "to love each other as He love us." He loved us so much he suffered horrific torture and died. We can no way earn God's love, so isn't it wonderful He gives it so freely? :)

Most people think it's just too hard to be a Christian, but it's really not. Follow this one rule and you will make Jesus smile and Father God will burst with pride. If you are not doing it out of love, then stop. It's really that simple. It applies to all areas of life, work, family, pleasure, recreation, anything and everything is covered. Love for yourself and for everyone alive because if you are truly doing it out of love, how can it be a sin?
