TRAGEDY AND GRADUATION, 2 STORIES, 1 OF RAPE, THE OTHER OF HONOR

Today I see 2 stories that catch my eye. One of rape, the other of a graduation. Brock Turner raped a college girl that I did not catch her name; I don't believe it has been released. He had no remorse for this violent crime and Justice Aaron Perky gave him a 6 month sentence in county jail. Brock's father wrote the judge a letter saying this would be a death sentence to his son. He wouldn't be able to eat his favorite steak or foods, and miss the parties & all that for a 20 minute mistake. This case comes from Santa Clara County, California. I say to the victim: I'm sorry you lived this. I hope & pray you find peace, comfort & security in your life.

My own Justine was raped by a classmate of hers named Reggie Jackson of Bensalem High School. Before I met her this happened, but I saw the damage the beating & rape did to her. And she was only 14 when he did this. Recovering from a crime as vicious as that, not everyone can do it. So I pray this young woman & all victims can.

The second story I saw made me smile. 70+ year old woman Roleen Littlefied Tayson from Utah was able to graduate alongside her 17 year old granddaughter from high school. Roleen dropped out of high school as a teen to help her mom after her father died. She had 6 other siblings & she knew her mom needed money & help so she quit school, got a job & helped her mom support her family. Very admirable thing to do. That story made me smile.

My 18 1/2 year old daughter tells my brother she is pregnant. I really hope not. She is not ready for this. She is a mess & she is so dependent upon a man that she will do as he pleases & not think for herself. I don't know how to reach her. I don't know how to get through to her. And I don't know what to do.

If anyone has tried to see my puppy dog's photos on Facebook & hasn't been able to, it is my brother and sister's fault. They are supposed to be checking it but haven't. I asked them to make it public but they didn't. If you tried to see them & they did not accept your friend request, please feel free to email them & tell them to accept your request so you can see the photos.

Sometimes I struggle with what to write so please tell me what you readers want to know. I need ideas.
